There is described an electric household appliance (1) having a casing (2); a drum (5) mounted inside the casing (2) to rotate freely about a predetermined axis of rotation; a pulley (6) fitted to the drive shaft of the drum (5); and a drive (7) having a drive shaft (8) extending along a longitudinal axis and connected to the pulley (6) to rotate the drum (5) about the axis of rotation. The drive (7) has an electric motor (11) with a housing (13); and an electronic control module (12), which is connected electrically to the electric motor (11) to regulate the speed of the electric motor (11), and is integrated with the housing (13) of the electric motor (11) to form a single casing with the housing.
