PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera capable of changing a display state in a display portion into display with good visibility according to a posture. SOLUTION: The electronic camera is provided with: an image storage 30 which stores image data to which photography information is added; a display portion 24 which displays an image based on the image data stored in the image storage; a posture detection portion 34 which detects the posture of the electronic camera; and a display controller 26 which displays the photography information with the image based on the image data on the display portion when it is detected that the posture of the electronic camera is a first posture by the posture detector and displays the image based on the image data on the display portion when change from the first posture to a second posture is detected by the posture detector when the image based on the image data is displayed on the display portion.
