PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic porous body having no defects such as warpage or cracks. SOLUTION: A method for producing the ceramic porous body includes: a step of preparing a ceramic slurry by mixing a ceramic powder and a solvent containing a ceramic sol; a molding step of pouring the ceramic slurry into a mold; a packing step of settling and packing the ceramic powder to obtain a packed product; a freezing and demolding step of freezing the packed product to solidify and then demolding; and a curing step of curing the packed product by heat treatment.
