ORGANIC LAYER COMPOSITION AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY WITH THE SAME

PURPOSE: An organic layer composition is provided to prevent liquid crystal defects caused by gas generated by decomposing an organic film component when curing a liquid crystal layer by ultraviolet rays. CONSTITUTION: An organic layer composition includes a binder formed by copolymerizing compounds belonging to the first class and the second class, wherein the first class comprises acrylic compounds and the second class comprises compounds which do not have -COO- groups. The first class comprises one selected from compounds represented by chemical formula (1) - (5). The second class comprises at least one of styrene, imide, acid dianhydride containing aliphatic ring, norbornene, olefin-based compounds, silicon-based compounds, and novoloc-based compounds.
