PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical unit which can be thinned. SOLUTION: In the optical unit 100 with a camera shake correction mechanism, a fixing body 210 includes openings 231a and 238b opening in an area including the entire area superposed in an optical axis direction on endmost parts 300a and 300b located at the ends of a movable module 30 in the optical axis direction at one end and the other end in the optical axis direction, respectively. In an equipment body 1100 of the optical equipment 1000 including the optical unit 100, chassis 1110 and 1120 function as stoppers on which the endmost parts 300a and 300b abut when the ends of the movable module 300 project from the openings 231a and 238b, respectively.
