PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing trans-1,4-bis(aminomethyl)cyclohexane excellent in facility, safety and economical aspects.SOLUTION: The method includes: performing the nucleus hydrogenation of at least one terephthalic acid or derivative thereof selected from the group consisting of terephthalic acid, terephthalates and terephthalamide to obtain a hydrogenated terephthalic acid or derivative thereof; obtaining trans-1,4-dicyanocyclohexane from 1,4-dicyanocyclohexane obtained by bringing the hydrogenated terephthalic acid or derivative thereof into contact with ammonia; and then bringing the obtained trans-1,4-dicyanocyclohexane into contact with hydrogen to produce trans-1,4-bis(aminomethyl)cyclohexane. |
