PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air blower which confirms a contamination degree such as dust accumulated on an impeller, and is easily cleaned, with respect to the air blower used in a ventilation blower and the like. SOLUTION: In this centrifugal air blower 1 having a box-shaped frame 2, a casing 4 disposed in the frame 2 and having a suction opening 3, the centrifugal impeller 5 disposed inside of the casing 4, and a motor 6 for rotating and driving the centrifugal impeller 5, as a light emitting diode 11 is disposed as an irradiation means for irradiating the light to the centrifugal impeller 5 including a blade positive pressure face side of the centrifugal impeller 5, the air blower capable of easily confirming a condition of the contamination degree of the centrifugal impeller 5 by irradiating the light to the centrifugal impeller 5 including the blade positive pressure face side of the centrifugal impeller 5 to which the dirt such as dust in the air easily attaches, and being easily cleaned, can be provided.
