SWING BUCKET FOR USE WITH CENTRIFUGE ROTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a swing bucket which overcomes drawbacks of the conventional product.

SOLUTION: The bucket 12 is provided for use with a centrifuge rotor 10. The bucket 12 includes a bucket body 70 that has a side wall 72 and a bottom wall 74. A pair of projections 80 extend from the side wall 72 on opposing sides of the bucket body 70 and are engaged with the centrifuge rotor 10. The bucket 12 also includes a reinforcing material 102 coupled to the projections 80 for restricting movement of the bucket body 70 relative to the projections 80 during centrifugation on the centrifuge rotor 10. The projections 80 can include bushes that extend outwardly from the side wall 72 to be engaged with corresponding pins 92 on the centrifuge rotor 10. Each nozzle introducing region of the projection 80 is projected through one of apertures 90.
