PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent contact of a rotor and a seal ring by making the seal ring follow up the movement of the rotor, by keeping a fixed gap and to prevent vibration, deformation, abrasion and leakage of internal hydrogen gas, which are caused by the contact. SOLUTION: The gap between the seal ring and the rotor is kept constant so that the gap between the rotor and the shaft sealing devices arranged at both end parts of a generator for preventing flow-out of hydrogen gas in the generator to outside air can follow the eccentricity of a rotating shaft of the rotor, and the seal ring can movably be supported by a structure.
