PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of current detecting sensors to be used to only one and ensure quick short-circuit protecting operation in spite of the reduction. SOLUTION: When short-circuit accident is generated in switching elements RP, RN, a short-circuit current I1 flows in a closed loop circuit which passes smoothing capacitors 6a, 6b and the switching elements RP, RN, and a short- circuit current I2 flows in the other closed loop circuit which passes capacitors 18a, 18b for short-circuit detection and the switching elements RP, RN. A Hall CT7 detects the short-circuit current I2 and outputs its detecting signal to a control part 11. |
