The element (1) has a pre-seal (13) formed one-piece with a circular ring-shaped body (5). The pre-seal includes a support structure (14) at a side of the body, where the side points away from a gap (2) between bearing rings (3, 4). An intermediate area (19) is provided between the pre-seal and a sealing lip (10). The support structure includes two radially aligned ribs (16) that enlarge at a radial distance from the sealing lip. The ribs are formed from elastomer and surround a guiding channel (18) whose axial depth reduces with the radial distance of the sealing lip.
