DATA TRANSMISSION METHOD, COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT AND COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

A data transmission method, communication equipment and communication system are provided. The method involves packing data to a plurality of data packets (T1) for General Packet Radio Service Tunneling Protocol - User Data Tunneling (GTP-U), compressing the internet protocol (IP) headers, the user datagram protocol (UDP) headers and the GTP-U headers of some of said GTP-U data packets so as to form compressed GTP-U data packets, said compressed GTP-U data packets including at least the compressed header formed by compressing said IP headers, UDP headers and GTP-U headers, and said compressed header including at least a context identification (CID) which is the same as the CID in the non-compressed GTP-U data packets which contain the same IP headers, UDP headers and GTP-U headers (T2). The non-compressed GTP-U data packets of the original plurality of such packets and the compressed GTP-U data packets are then together sent to a receiving device (T3). The embodiments of the present invention can save transmission costs and promote transmission efficiency.
