PURPOSE: A set-top terminal for providing a screen-separation service between a broadcasting content service and an additional service and a method thereof are provided to use a screen different from a screen on which broadcasting contents are provided not to block a broadcasting content screen when a user wants to watch EPG(Electronic Program Guide) or information about objects while watching broadcasting contents. CONSTITUTION: A data receiving module(100.2) receives broadcasting contents or additional service executing information including a real-time broadcast program and VOD(Video On Demand) from an IPTV(Internet Protocol TV) system. An output monitor determining module(100.5) separates the broadcasting contents and the additional service execution information from the received information. The first monitor output module(100.6) outputs the separated broadcasting contents to the first monitor. The second monitor output module(100.7) outputs the additional service execution information to the second monitor. |
