摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous solution of glass treating agent in which a silane coupling agent can uniformly be surface-treated on the surface of glass cloth and the interface formed between glass cloth and a matrix resin and developing high heat resistance and mechanical strength can be formed by improving stability of the aqueous solution of glass treating agent used for surface treatment of glass cloth and to provide a method for surface-treating the glass cloth by using the aqueous solution of glass treating agent. SOLUTION: The aqueous solution of glass treating agent comprises 0.01-0.10 mass% surfactant containing a low-HLB surfactant having≥8.6 and≤11.0 HLB value and a high-HLB surfactant having≥12.1 and≤15.0 HLB value in 1/1000 to 1 mol% concentration of the low-HLB surfactant surfactant to the high-HLB surfactant and a silane coupling agent, and contains the surfactant in a concentration of 1/50 to 1/5 mass% based on mass% of the silane coupling agent.
