<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite switch lever with decreased cost of mounting a magnetic field detecting element to a circuit board, and with improved detecting accuracy by the magnetic field detecting element. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An operation lever 1 of the composite switch lever device which is operated in 2 inclination movement directions X, Y crossing each other, and also operated in a direction of rotation around an axis line ax, includes a first magnet 21 to detect the operative positions on each of the 2 inclination movement directions X, Y, and a second magnet 22 to detect the operative position on the direction of rotation Ra. The composite switch lever device includes the magnetic field detection unit 1a which includes the circuit board 17 with 4 GMR sensors g1-g4 and an MRE sensor m mounted on the same to detect the operative position on the 2 inclination movement directions X, Y as well as on the direction of rotation by using the magnetic fields generated by each of the first magnet 21 and the second magnet 22.
