<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a classification apparatus capable of suppressing clogging even in the case of carrying out classification with the use of external force other than diffusion. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The classification apparatus includes: a dispersion liquid inlet channel that introduces a dispersion liquid containing particles; a classification channel that classifies the particles; and a discharge channel that discharges the classified particles. The classification channel is provided inclinedly to a direction of gravity. It is preferable that the classification channel is provided in such a manner that the cross-section area increases along the traveling direction of the dispersion liquid.
