<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a rise in the inside temperature of an image forming apparatus without emitting unnecessary noise when not in use, thereby preventing peripheral components from being affected. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: a heat transfer member (rotation shaft 37a) disposed in or around a fixing roller 37; and a heat dissipation member (heat sink 51) disposed so as to be connected to or disconnected from the heat transfer member 37a such that it is moved away from the heat transfer member 37a when printing is carried out, and moved and connected to the heat transfer member 37a, thereby dissipating heat of the heat transfer member 37a during a standby state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
