<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user check system for an operator of an automatic ticket examination system to easily find suspicious unauthorized use of an IC card without requiring a user to present an IC card, and to provide an IC card applied to the user check system. <P>SOLUTION: When an IC card 10 is held over an IC card reader 12 set at a ticket gate, a user's face is photographed with a camera 13, the photographic image is displayed on a display screen of an image display device 11, images based on image information read from the IC card 10 are extracted at random, faces of past users who have used the IC cards are displayed on the display screen.
