摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dual clutch type transmission including two input shafts joined to a friction clutch and a plurality of gear trains, smaller in construction and simplified in simplifying change-over operation of shift stages. SOLUTION: An intermediate shaft S3 installed in parallel to the two input shafts S1, S2 is formed in a double pipe structure having a hollow outside shaft S3O and a center shaft S3I extending through the hollow portion so that an output shaft S4 is driven from the rear end of the center shaft S3I. The plurality of gear trains are arranged between the output shaft S3O and each of the input shafts S1, S2. A reduction gear RG is loosely fitted to the center shaft S3I and a change-over clutch CC is provided between the outside shaft S3O and the reduction gear RG for changing over the rotating speed of the center shaft S3I in two steps. Thus, a transmission mechanism is constructed to reduce the gear trains and shorten shaft distances between each of the input shafts and the intermediate shaft, therefore reducing the size of the transmission.
