The present invention refers to a composition based on metallic sulphates for saving electric power in the recharge of industrial, motive, and stationary batteries, and for increasing the useful life thereof due to the incorporation of the present composition. Also refers to the protection of lead-acid batteries in the transport, forklift and stationary batteries industry. The composition comprises: 1) Aluminium sulphate from about 15% to about 45%; 2) Nickel sulphate from about 0.3% to about 10%; 3) Cadmium sulphate from about 0.0% to about 10%; 4) A mixture of cobalt sulphate and/or silver sulphate and/or manganese sulphate of from about 0.03% to about 10% and 5) Distilled water up to complete a 100%.
