<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize imaging devices in longitudinal photographing and lateral photographing using a compound-eye camera, and to enable a photographed image to be stereoscopically viewed. <P>SOLUTION: The compound-eye camera 1 comprises: two imaging units 1A, 1B which are provided on a camera body 10, include an imaging optical system and laterally long imaging devices 1c, 1d, respectively, and image a subject from different viewpoints separated in a horizontal direction; a stereoscopic display means 12 comprising stereoscopic view optical panel parts 12-2 to 12-4, which can change an optical path time-sequentially in a horizontal direction, for stereoscopically displaying the images picked up by the imaging units 1A, 1B; a revolution mechanism for making the two imaging units 1A, 1B revolve by approximately 90°around a common axis D; an autorotation mechanism by which autorotation of at least the imaging devices 1c, 1d of the two imaging units 1A, 1B is made by approximately 90°around the optical axis of each of the imaging optical systems; and a rotation mechanism for rotating the stereoscopic view optical panel parts 12-2 to 12-4 by approximately 90°in accordance with the revolution by the revolution mechanism. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
