PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording head where high-speed, stable image output can be maintained without impairing image definition, even if the inkjet recording head includes a poor-ejection recording element or the position of the poor-ejection recording element is varied. SOLUTION: In addition to a normal head prepared for normal image recording, a recovery head H1000R with a plurality of ink supply members H1500 is prepared to supply different kinds of inks to a plurality of recording element substrates H1100. Further, the recovery head H1000R is configured such that the kinds of inks to be supplied to respective recording element substrates H1100 can be selectively switched. Consequently, even if the poor-ejection recording element exists at any position of any normal head, supplementary recording with the same kind of ink can be immediately carried out by the recovery head H1000R.
