<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass substrate with small warpage capable of reducing variations in coating thickness and coating width of a coating material to the maximum possible extent. <P>SOLUTION: The glass substrate 1 has sides L1, L2 of≥500 mm, and a thickness L3 of≤4.0 mm. The glass substrate is divided into a plurality of small pieces 2 each with an equal interval of 100 mm along one side and with an equal interval of 500 mm along the other side. When longitudinal both ends of each of the divided small pieces 2 of 100 mm×500 mm are supported from below with a support span Ls of 460 mm, an absolute value of the difference of deformation amount (δ1-δ2) between a first deformation amountδ1, which is induced by self-weight when the both ends are supported while the surface is the upper side, and a second deformation amountδ2, which is induced by self-weight when the both ends are supported while the underside is the upper side, is configured to be≤0.8 mm in all small pieces 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
