METHOD, APPARATUS AND SYSTEM FOR PROTECTING HEAD NODE OF POINT TO MULTIPOINT LABEL SWITCH PATH

A method for protecting head node of point to multipoint label switch path. The method comprises BHN generating backup LSP from itself to all MPs.The backup LSP does not include MHN. MHN transmits data along the generated LSP between MHN and MP; when meeting the head node switching condition, BHN switches to the main head node, transmits data along the generated backup LSP between BHN and MP. A system and apparatus for protecting head node are provided in the present invention.
