The fuel injection valve (1) has a valve body (130) which comprises a fuel flow passage (125). An injector plate (110) is provided at the valve body, and is located downstream of the fuel flow passage. The injector plate has a front surface, which specifies a middle area and an injector area, where the injector area lies around the middle area, and has multiple fuel-injector orifices (111). An independent claim is also included for an injector plate for a fuel injection valve.
