LASH ADJUSTER

A lash adjuster in which an adjust screw can be initially set repeatedly and the work for initially setting the adjust screw is simplified, is provided. The lash adjuster (1) comprising a nut member (14) inserted into a containing hole (13) in the upper surface of a cylinder head (2), an adjust screw (15) having an externally threaded screw (19) engaging with the internally threaded screw (20) of the nut member (14), and a return spring (17) for urging the adjust screw (15) wherein the arm (6) of a dynamic valve is supported by a projection end (25) from the nut member (14) of the adjust screw (15) is further provided with a set pin (18) consisting of a portion (28) being inserted into an insertion hole (27) provided in the outer circumference of the portion projecting from the nut member (14) of the adjust screw (15), an operation knob portion (29) provided continuously from the portion (28) being inserted, and a spring portion (30) held vertically between the operation knob portion (29) and the upper end face (24) of the nut member (14).
