PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an amount of leak from a clearance between sliding portions from changing according to the temperature. SOLUTION: In the fuel injection valve in which a nozzle needle 21 for opening/closing an injection hole 24 is slidably inserted in a nozzle sleeve 23, the linear expansion coefficient of the nozzle sleeve 23 is set smaller than that of the nozzle needle 21. As a result, since the clearance between the sliding portions of the nozzle sleeve 23 and the nozzle needle 21 is large at a low temperature and small at a high temperature, a change in the amount of leaks from the clearance between the sliding portions due to a change of fuel viscosity is canceled.
