PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toilet device which can reduce the volume of wasteful flushing water in a flush toilet. SOLUTION: The toilet device 10 is formed of derricking toilet seat 12 and toilet cover 13 set on a toilet bowl 11, a toilet bowl flushing device for supplying flushing water to the toilet bowl 11, a seated state detecting sensor for detecting presence/absence of a user seated on the toilet seat 12, a control section for transmitting a control signal for supplying flushing water to the toilet bowl 11, to the toilet bowl flushing device, and an operating section operable via a remote controller, for operating the toilet device 10. The control section has a function of selecting one of a plurality of flushing modes different in flushing water volume, and detects a seated time period of the user on the toilet seat 12, based on a detection signal of the seated state detecting sensor, followed by transmitting a control signal corresponding to the flushing mode selected based on the seated time period, to the toilet bowl flushing device, whereby the toilet bowl flushing device carries out toilet bowl flushing. Further the toilet device is provided with: a notifying means for notifying the user that the control section has selected the flushing mode in which the flushing water volume is large; and a manual switching means for allowing the user to manually select the flushing mode.
