PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting mechanism of an indoor grille for windows, which improves crime prevention by making removal difficult, while simplifying and facilitating the execution of work for mounting the grille for the windows. SOLUTION: This mounting mechanism comprises the grille 4 for the windows, in which both ends of a plurality of grille materials 11 are fixed to a pair of side frames 12 of the grille, and a pair of base side frames 6 on which the pair of side frames of the grille is mounted. The side frames of the grille are fitted slidably in the longitudinal direction of the base side frame in the state of covering the base side frames. The side frame of the grille are formed slidably at least between a first position to be finally fixed to the base side frame, and a second position in which a hole 20 for a mounting operation, provided in the side frame of the grille, faces a mounting hole 18 of the base side frame. The hole for the mounting operation, which is provided in the side frame of the grille, enables the operation of fixing the base side frame to an opening frame 3 of a building through the mounting hole 18 of the base side frame.
