摘要 <p>An arrangement structure of a friction element for an automatic transmission is provided to maximize a hollow space in an engine room by arranging plural friction elements in a small space. An arrangement structure of a friction element for an automatic transmission includes first to third planetary gear sets. The first and second planetary gear sets consist of single pinion planetary gear sets, while the third planetary gear set consists of a double pinion planetary gear sets. A linear gear of the second planetary gear set is connected to an input shaft through a first clutch(C1) and a third brake(B3). A planetary carrier of the third planetary gear set is connected to the input shaft and a transmission housing through a second clutch and a first brake. A linear gear of the first planetary gear set is connected to the transmission housing through a second brake(B2). The first clutch and the second and third brakes are arranged at a front portion of an output gear. The second clutch and the first brake are arranged at a rear portion of the third planetary gear set.</p>
