PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine which reduces occurrence of abnormal sound occurring due to power ON or OFF operation when a motor is started for a dehydration process. SOLUTION: When the rotation of a washing and dehydrating tub 13 is started at an early stage of starting a rinsing process and the dehydration process, a control means 24 partially cuts a frequency just after starting dehydration regarding power supply to the motor 16 so as to rotate the motor 16 at low speed when starting dehydration. Thus, the rotation is not accelerated rapidly but started gradually at low speed, so that rapid tension force is not applied to a V belt 17. As the result of this, impact noise occurring in the case of starting is reduced, and not resonant with a water tray tub 15. Thus, the noise conventionally occurring at each ON and OFF of energizing to the motor 16 is reduced, and trouble of reverberation in the whole room etc. is solved. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
