The present invention is directed to an automated high voltage (HV) defibrillator tester system that is able to asynchronously test a plurality of devices (e.g. defribillators etc.). The HV defibrillator tester system includes a first field programmable gate array (FPGA) connected to a set of tester modules. Each tester module of tester modules is individually associated with a single communication port of the first FPGA.
