PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to confirm information to be transmitted from a device to a management server, and to suppress the eavesdropping or alternation of management information. SOLUTION: This device management system for managing a device based on management information owned by the device is provided with a device monitoring device for acquiring management information from the device; a relay server connected through a network to the device monitoring device; a management server SV connected through the network to the relay server for managing the device based on the management information. The device monitoring device acquires management information from the device, and transmits it to a relay server without encrypting the acquired management information.
