<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direct backlight improving uniformity of white light emission inside a surface in a white backlight. <P>SOLUTION: In this direct backlight, a base board 7, on which a plurality of LEDs 8 emitting different color light are mounted, a condensing lens 6 condensing light emitted from a plurality of LED 8, and a light guide plate 1 are arranged. In the light guide plate 1, a light reflection part 2 is formed in the center of the upper face, while a light scattering part 3 is formed on the lower face. The light scattering part 3 has a function for reflecting light emitted from an optical semiconductor device 4 of the direct backlight and scattering it into the light guide plate 1 or to the upper face of the light guide plate 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
