PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AV apparatus the functions of which are utilized as if a main body unit of the AV apparatus exists locally at a user independently of a relative positional relation between the main body unit and the user. SOLUTION: A unit A includes means A12, A13 for transmitting an audio signal to a unit B in response to a request from the unit B, and the unit B includes: transmission/reception sections B14 to B17 for carrying out two-way communication with the unit A; an operation section B11 for accepting a user's operation; a means B13 for instructing the unit A to carry out recording and reproduction of the audio signal in response to the user's operation; a display section B18 for displaying an operating state of the unit A, and also; a means B13 for requesting the unit A to transmit the audio signal in response to the user's operation; and means B5, B8 to B10, B12, B13 for recording/reproducing the audio signal received from the unit A.
