PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for monitoring a safety tire for checking whether or not a state of a hollow particle, that is, remaining amount of an increase in volume is lowered in a hollow particle type safety tire. SOLUTION: In this method, a change of concentration of closed cell constitutional gas components in the hollow particle 4 in a tire air chamber 3 is monitored during traveling of a vehicle. When the change is deviated from a reference fixed in advance, the remaining amount of an increase in volume of the hollow particle 4 is decided to be insufficient for restoring internal pressure at the time of a flat tire.
