<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the recording density of a hologram by efficiently using a dynamic range of a hologram recording medium without reducing shift selectivity. <P>SOLUTION: Only the part of interference fringes generated by the interference between signal light 100 and reference light 200 is recorded in a hologram recording medium 60 utilizing two-photon absorption properties, and the other parts (including the part only irradiated with the reference light 200) are made insensitive. Thus, uselessly sensitized parts are eliminated and the dynamic range of the recording media 60 is secured to improve recording density. Further, a random phase object 10 is inserted into an interference optical path, and the wave front of the reference light 200 is modulated at random, thus a speckle multiplex is performed. In this way, the dynamic range of the recording media 60 is efficiently used, so that the recording density of the hologram is improved without reducing shift selectivity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
