PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To have an extremely simple structure and easily supporting the body and allowing him to discharge urine in a posture preventing its leakage, when a man discharges urine to a Western style toilet bowl on his feet, without extremely reinforcing the strength of a toilet seat itself. SOLUTION: This Western style toilet bowl is provided with a toilet bowl body 1, the toilet seat 2 tiltably mounted to the toilet bowl body 1, and an upper lid 3 connected to the toilet bowl body 1 tiltably to the upper face of the toilet seat 2. The Western style toilet bowl is further provided with a stopper mechanism 4 stopping the toilet seat 2 and the upper lid 3 in their lifted attitudes, and a grip part 12 positioned in the toilet seat front end part 11, or the front end of the toilet seat and the uppermost part in its lifted attitude and, when a user lifts the toilet seat 2 and discharges urine to the toilet bowl body 1, being held in hand for supporting the body. This Western style toilet bowl is so formed that the user discharges urine to the toilet bowl body 1 in a posture of supporting the body with the grip part 12 held in the hand.
