PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-priming pump high quality and high assembly reliability capable of preventing a problem of impossibility of rotation or abnormal noise after shipment without becoming aware of assembly failure even if a pump is rotated under a condition two water cutters are attached by mistake in assembly of the self-priming pump and one water cutter warps in a bracket side and another warps in a casing side and touches the casing. SOLUTION: A shaft through hole 21 of a bracket 3 connecting a motor 1 and the casing 4 is made smaller than an outer diameter of the water cutter 7. A great number of radial grooves are provided on the bracket 3 and the casing 4, and a great number of cylindrical projections, semi-spherical projection or slit shape projection are provided on both surface of the water cutter 7 to increase contact resistance of the bracket 3, the casing 4 and the water cutter 7.
