<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating waste water generated when an organic component of waste plaster board is dissolved in water, by which the organic component can be removed until an extremely low level by little usage of a flocculant, and consequently, the amount of the sludge generated can be reduced and the waste water can be treated at a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: This method for treating the waste water generated when the organic component of waste plaster board is dissolved in water comprises the steps of treating the waste water with activated sludge and then flocculating the organic component by using the flocculant containing iron. As a result, the organic component can be removed until the extremely low level by little usage of the flocculant, and consequently, the amount of the sludge to be generated can be reduced and the waste water can be treated at a low cost. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
