PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an earth leakage detector appropriate for installation into the housing of each kind of equipment, such as a copier and a printer, by making the detector compact at both the upper and lower sides of a printed-circuit board with an extremely simple mechanism and miniaturizing the detector and reducing its price. SOLUTION: The earth leakage detector comprises the printed-circuit board for packaging an earth leakage detection control circuit, a switch having reset functions mounted to a surface side opposite to one surface of the printed-circuit board, a current transformer for detecting earth leakage mounted to a surface side opposite to one surface side of the printed-circuit board, a terminal for external connection for introducing and outputting power, and an electric wire member that passes through a current transformer for detecting earth leakage and is connected between terminals for external connection.
