PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a lens substrate, which enables the lens substrate to be easily formed, while suppressing warpage and shrinkage, the lens substrate which is manufactured by the method like that, a transmission screen, and a rear projector. SOLUTION: In this manufacturing method for the lens substrate which is mainly composed of a substrate 3 and a sheet material 2 and which has a plurality of lenses, the sheet material is mainly composed of a thermoplastic resin, and the substrate 3 and the sheet material 2 are pressure-bonded together while a shape of a mold is transferred to the sheet material by pressing the sheet material by means of the mold while rotating the heated and roll-shaped mold 40. The temperature of the mold 40 in the pressing of the sheet material is as high as /higher than a glass transition point of the thermoplastic resin. When T<SB>g1</SB>[°C] represents The glass transition point of the thermoplastic resin, the temperature T<SB>1</SB>of the sheet material to be pressed by the mold satisfies the expression: T<SB>g1</SB>-20≤T<SB>1</SB>≤T<SB>g1</SB>+50.
