<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conductive roller which is free from hardness nonuniformity and resistance nonuniformity by controlling the deformation of the end part of a cylindrical rubber composition by eliminating temperature nonuniformity in the initial temperature increasing process of a process for vulcanizing/foaming the cylindrical rubber composition. <P>SOLUTION: A heating/foaming auxiliary jig used when the cylindrical rubber composition is heated/foamed in a heating furnace has a hollow of a size to be able to house the entire rubber composition, and voids are formed approximately uniformly in the outer wall of the auxiliary jig.
