摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming system capable of arranging image positions of both sides of a recording medium without increasing the memory capacity. <P>SOLUTION: At printing of a front side in the case of double side printing, a register attaching processing section 626A allows an expansion processing section 610 to produce page data for printing registers being indices for measuring a print image size at blank parts on four corners of form P together with an original image to be printed. Then an image forming apparatus 11 prints page data on the front side, a line sensor section 90 reads an image printed on the front side when the form whose front side is printed is carried on a reverse carrying path for rear side printing, and a print image size calculation section 92 calculates an actual distance between the registers printed on the front side of the form on the basis of a result of the reading. A rear side magnification rate setting section 626B uses the calculated distance as an actual print image size printed on the front side of the form and compares the size with a substantial print image size (the substantial distance between the registers) to grasp an expanding/contracted state of the form resulting in determining a magnification/reduction rate of the image to be printed on the rear side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
