PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of abnormality in the quality of a plated steel sheet in unplating and the intrusion of dross by continuously removing dross and ash in a snout with high efficiency. SOLUTION: The device comprises: a pair of feed nozzle and intake nozzle; a feed pump and an intake pump provided at the outside of a snout; first and second upper and lower position controlling means of controlling the upper and lower positions of the feed nozzle and feed pump and the intake nozzle and intake pump in such a manner that they are integrally displaced up and down, respectively; a liquid face detecting means in a bath provided at the outside of the snout; a dross scraping apparatus provided so as to remove dross present at the detected part in the liquid face by the liquid face detecting means; and a liquid face controller operating the dross scraping apparatus based on the input of a liquid face detection signal, thereafter, detecting the liquid face, and allowing pump elevating/lowering motors in the first and second upper and lower position controlling means to emit signals in accordance with the quantity of the liquid face to be detected.
