摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plug tip manufacturable at a cost lower than a conventional optimum tip formed of one material and technically improved more than a rather inexpensive tip formed of a low quality material by improving an ignition device of a conventional type for igniting an air/fuel mixture in an internal combustion engine by a high-frequency electric energy source. SOLUTION: One end part 8 of a coaxial waveguide passage structure 5 is formed as an ignition pin 12. Accordingly, free plasma can be generated in the air/fuel mixture by a field structure projected into a combustion chamber in the state of being applied with a potential. The ignition pin 12 is at least partially formed of an outside partial pin 14 and an inside pin 13 symmetrically with respect to the rotating axis.
