A service providing system for allowing each of users of information transfer service, who provide or utilize information via a network in real time, to recognize the environments and information providing conditions of the other users in real time. This system (1) includes a service provider (2), which comprises a communication server (11), a WEB server (12) and a DB server (13), and a plurality of communication terminals (4) connected to the service provider (2) via the Internet. The system (1) provides an information transfer service for allowing one communication apparatus to provide or utilize information in real time to or from another communication apparatus. A communication terminal (4), which provides information, initially registers explanatory information, such as the contents of the information to be provided, the price thereof and the like, with a DB server (13). When a person who provides the information is placed in a state that allows him or her to provide the information in real time, the communication terminal (4) updates the information registered with the DB server (13) into a log-in state. Each time such an updating is performed, the WEB server (12) updates a WEB page such that explanatory information having placed in the log-in state is added to a menu of choices.
