PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent incoming call notification from being displayed before a user performs a settled operation when unsettled characters are displayed on a screen during character input operation. SOLUTION: A cellular telephone device has a function for allowing a display unit 8 to sequentially display character strings to be inputted by operating keys, and settling the character strings inputted by a settling operation; and a function of displaying notification generated by the notification of an incoming call or the incoming call on the display section 8. In this device, during character string input operation, a monitoring unit 15 always monitors whether or not unsettled character strings are displayed on the display unit 8. In displaying the notification on the display unit 8, an OS 3 asks the monitoring unit 15 whether or not the unsettled character strings are displayed on the display unit 8.
