<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tracking error signal detecting system in which effect of offset is eliminated, reduction in power of a main beam does not occur, the number of light receiving elements is small, and which can be adaptive to a plurality of kinds of disks of different track pitches. <P>SOLUTION: An optical pickup is provided with a first light source emitting luminous flux of a first wavelength and a second light source emitting luminous flux of a second wavelength, converges luminous flux emitted from these the first and the second light source on an optical disk face by a common objective lens, receives the reflected light from the optical disk face by bisected detectors each divided by a dividing line being substantially parallel to a track direction, and generates a tracking error signal from push-pull signals of each luminous flux being difference signals of each detector, wherein the optical pickup is provided with an aberration compensating means performing aberration compensation for luminous flux emitted from one side of the light sources. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
