A power-saving air conditioner having a hot water heater is provided to realize sufficient heating even in the coldest season, to reach a set temperature within a short time and to minimize power consumption in heating and defrosting operation. A plate type evaporator(149) is connected with a compressor(109) and an outdoor unit(300). A plate type reheat condenser(131) is connected with the outdoor unit in parallel between the compressor and the evaporator. A plate type hot water radiator(409) has a hot water coil(407) connected with a hot water boiler(401). The evaporator, the reheat condenser and the hot water radiator are installed in the housing in order without a gap to pass all air passing through the evaporator through the reheat condenser and to pass all air passing through the reheat condenser through the hot water radiator. A hot gas input pipe(123) is installed between a distributor(147) of the evaporator and the compressor to directly input hot gas of high temperature and pressure compressed in the compressor to the evaporator. A hot water heater selectively or simultaneously uses radiation by a refrigerant circulating on the compressor, the reheat condenser, the hot gas input pipe, the evaporator and the compressor or radiation of the hot water radiator. |
